Date Description Podcast
Apr. 12, 2026 "Made Alive" – Ephesians 2:1-10
God created a way for us to be saved from our trespasses and sins. This passage contains the well loved verses that link grace and faith. "For by grace you have been saved through faith." (v2:8) God's work in us brings us closer to Him. We are His workmanship and have been give gifts to serve God's purposes and plans.
Sermon by Guest Speaker, Patrick Seamars (sections of recording lost due to technical problems)

Apr. 5, 2026 "Everything Hangs on This" – 1 Cor. 15:1-17
Easter is about a specific event that either happened or didn't. Today's question is: Did Jesus really rise from the dead? Paul reviewed the details of Jesus' death, resurrection, and appearance before hundreds. At length he showed how pointless our faith would be otherwise. The evidence points to a Risen Savior. How will you react?

Mar. 29, 2026 "Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment" – James 2:8-13
During Jesus' Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, the Jews were celebrating Him for wordly reasons: they wanted a military king instead of a spiritual savior. James tells us to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Lev. 19:18), and to avoid partiality which is sinful. Finally, James tells us to show mercy to others for "mercy triumphs over judgment."

Mar. 22, 2026 "No VIPs in the House of God" – James 2:1-7
In 1723, at Boston's Old North Church, the well-to-do paid £30 (pounds) for cushioned, personal box seats in the sanctuary. Poor people were relegated to the back of the church. James commands us to NOT show favoritism to the wealth but instead honor those rich in faith.

Mar. 15, 2026 "True Religion - Doers of the Word" – James 1:22-27
Recent studies have shown that people think there is a difference between what Christians say and what they do. They see Christians acting in name only. James warns that we must be "doers of the Word" who have been genuinely transformed by the Holy Spirit. He further warns against an unbridled tongue and in favor of caring for orphans and widows.

Mar. 8, 2026 "Quick to Hear, Slow to Speak, Slow to Anger: Living As First Fruits" – James 1:19-21
We know there are things in our lives that need to go, but we don't know what to do about them. James tells us what to remove and what to put on. Hearing, speaking, and getting angry must be put under God's control so we can be cleansed with God's righteousness.

Mar. 1, 2026 "Trials, Temptations, and Gifts" – James 1:12-18
This sermon opened with an exciting recap of the U.S. Men's Hockey Team winning Olympic Gold medals on February 22nd after a 46 year struggle. James tells us that perseverance yields blessings that come from our Father in heaven. His greatest gift is His sovereign word of truth, making us "first fruits among His creatures."

Feb. 22, 2026 "It's a Hard Knock Life: Ask God for Wisdom" –
James 1:5-11
Trials have a way of causing sleepless nights. But God is near, ready to help us apply wisdom to our lives. Wisdom begins with God and is superior to worldly wisdom. No doubters will receive help. As an aside, James says both the poor and the rich can benefit from being humble in their trials.

Feb. 15, 2026 "Consider It All Joy: Don't Waste Your Trials" – James 1:2-4
If you have walked with Christ long enough, sometimes life feels like a cold, dreary, New Hampshire winter. But James encourages us that "various trials" ... "produce perseverance." Knowing who God is makes all the difference. With the trials, God is removing impurities and refining and strengthening our faith. They shape us into the people God wants us to be.

Feb. 8, 2026 "Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ" – James 1:1
James wrote that what we believe must match how we live. This is where "the rubber meets the road." He is intensely practical: "prove yourselves doers of the word." (v1:22) His opening statement boldly proclaims that he is a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Can we say the same thing?

Feb. 1, 2026 "Resurrected Hope: God's Power in Our Weakness" –
Mark 15:40-16:8
Mark shifts focus to those around Jesus on the cross as He died: the faithful women who "used to follow and minister to Him." Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb on Friday. On Sunday the women found the tomb open and empty but for an angel who said Jesus was alive. The resurrection changed everything. Our failures were redeemed and despair was transformed into hope.

Jan. 18, 2026 "The Suffering Servant King" – Mark 15:1-39
Jesus was mocked, beaten, crowned with thorns, and crucified. But all this was foretold in Isaiah 53. Governor Pontius Pilate sought to release Him as was the custom during Passover but the crowd shouted "Crucify Him!" Jesus humbly brought victory through the cross and accomplished His mission. Jesus' example for us is to repay evil with good.

Jan. 11, 2025 "Self-Defense or Self Denial?" – Mark 14:53-72
In every trial we are pressed to either deny ourselves for Christ's sake or to deny Christ for self preservation. Peter stayed back while the priests interrogated Jesus. His loyalty for Christ gave way to fear for his own life. Jesus however affirmed His assertion that He was the Messiah, to the shock of the priests. When fear or pressure comes, will we stand with Christ?

Jan. 4, 2026 "Christ Our Faithfulness" – Mark 14:12-52
From the beginning of time until now, God has always been at work and nothing is out of His control. The Passover with Jesus and His disciples was fulfilled in the Lord's Supper, where Jesus instituted the new covenant with the bread and the wine and predicted His death and resurrection. Jesus betrayal and arrest "fulfilled the Scriptures." (14:49)
