The Far-out Far East Rickshaw Rally was our Vacation Bible School theme for 2004. Hillside held this week of adventure during the first week of August.

The Rally was the big summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) program geared toward younger children. Each night, VBS provided a rally, lesson time, missions study, music, crafts, games, and snack time, all centered around a Japanese theme.

Rally Challenges

Here are the Rally Challenges we engaged in during the week.

• Monday, Challenge 1 - Race to Meet Jesus, "A Samaritan Woman Meets Jesus"
• Tuesday, Challenge 2 - Run to Follow Jesus, "The Disciples Follow Jesus"
• Wednesday, Challenge 3 - Run to Learn about Jesus, "Mary and Martha Learn about Jesus"
• Thursday, Challenge 4 - Reach Out for Jesus, "A Thief Reaches Out for Jesus"
• Friday, Challenge 5 - Rally to Be Changed by Jesus, "Lydia and the Philippian Jailer Are Changed"

Parents were invited to the closing rally at the end of the evening.
